3 Networking Organizations for Minority Women in Business

Are you a minority woman business owner seeking to network with other entrepreneurs like you? Here are three worthwhile organizations for minority women in business.

National Latina Business Women Association (NLBWA)

The mission of the NLBWA is to promote, develop and support the rapid growth of Latina business owners and professionals and their families. The national organization supports local chapters that deliver programs and services to these entrepreneurs. Each chapter provides services such as leadership development; mentoring; procurement, supplier diversity and matchmaking opportunities; entrepreneurial training (boot camps) for start up businesses; startup grants; and networking events. You can also take online webinars and access resources. The organization partners with many other business resources such as Wells Fargo and Women Impacting Public Policy.

Asian Women in Business (AWIB)

AWIB is a platform for Asian women business owners and professional women to connect, explore opportunities and build their skills. The organization sponsors workshops, seminars, conferences and networking events; provides one-on-one technical assistance to women entrepreneurs; helps women business owners find and access procurement opportunities and more. AWIB sponsors an annual Procurement Conference that matches MWBEs with procurement opportunities, an annual Asian Women’s Corporate Leadership Conference and an annual Leadership Awards Ceremony and Dinner.

National Association of Negro Business and Professional Women’s Clubs (NANBPWC)

For over 75 years, this organization has worked to promote and protect the interests of African-American business and professional women, improve its local and global communities, and foster fellowship. The NANBPWC has a fourfold focus: leadership, entrepreneurship, technology and service (LETS). Members get access to networking events, online and in-person training, global travel opportunities and mentoring. They are also active in working with young African-Americans in local communities to help them realize their potential.
