Ann Smarty is Our Guest for the Last #Wgbiz Twitter Chat

ann-smarty-print-01Monday, January 13, 2014 at noon marks both an end and a beginning. It will be the very last time the Women Grow Business chat takes place on Twitter. It also ushers in the era of our monthly discussions here at

Our monthly Twitter chats were started by our second editor, Shonali Burke who also started our community hashtag #wgbiz. She’s been a guest of the chat, as have I, as has our founding editor, Jill Foster.

In coming days, a round-up of the chats will be published, with a list of the other women-centric chats that cross with the business audience.

We’ll also have information on how you can join the new discussions here!

Our Special Guest, Ann Smarty

With our special event comes a special guest who the Women Grow Business community has requested repeatedly, Ann Smarty, Our official topic will be “The Marketing and SEO Benefits of Proper Guest Blogging.

But as you may know, Ann is an expert on search, blogging and marketing, so please feel free to reply to this post with questions of your own, or come to our last Twitter chat on Monday, January 13 at noon Eastern.

Join Us at the Last Women Grow Business Twitter Chat

Every second Monday of the month at noon, the Women Grow Business community has been having a Twitter chat. We usually have a guest expert, announced on our blog prior to the chat. You can subscribe to our blog, our Facebook or Twitter page, to get the announcement of our next guest delivered to you.

In the meantime, stay tuned to this column for future announcements and the new location of our monthly discussion on this site.

How do you follow The Last #WgBiz Twitter chat?

  1. Log into Twitter, Tweetdeck, Tweetchat, Twchat  or any other Twitter tool that lets you isolate a hashtag.

  2. Follow our Twitter hashtag #wgbiz.

  3. Arrive as early as 11:45 a.m. to introduce yourself, send us a link to your site, and share your latest project, as well as to meet the other chatters. The regular chat starts promptly at noon.

  4. Make sure you’re following the host, in this case me (@wgbiz is the official channel, while @Tinu is my personal handle), and featured guest Ann Smarty (@annsmarty). This way, you can easily follow the conversation, send questions during the chat, or follow up  later.

  5. Have fun!   Our free twitter chats are meant to be educational, sure, but also lighter fare than a teleconference or webinar. Meet people. Gain new resources. Learn and laugh.
