Archive of Our #WgBiz Twitter Chat with Vanessa French (@VanessaFrench)

This July we were honored to have  Vanessa French, founder and lead strategist of Pivot Point Communications, as the guest expert for our monthly Twitter chat. This month, we discussed digital PR for small businesses.

Two of her most discussed tweets mirrored one of the results from the State of Women Business Owned Business surveys conducted by NAWBO and Web.com earlier this year – if you’re not including mobile in your marketing plan, you need to start.

Despite numerous troubles with Twitter that morning, our July 8th chat still generated 459 tweets, which reached an audience of 850,118 people, creating 5,499,493 impressions. Those aren’t just numbers to us – they give us an approximation of what part of the vast community is directly participating, and we look at what tweets are being circulated the most, as well as which questions come up, in order to plan future events.

We love it when you’re able to participate in the chats, and we’re able to tailor them more to what you want to know, the more vocal you are.

We also share the data we collect on the chat here for a simple reason – you can get to know other members of the extended Web.com and Women Grow Business family that you could interact with over Twiter in real time. You can find a link to the archive here, where you can view it online, or download a PDF or Excel copy of the tweets that used the hashtag, as well as who created them.

Attend the Next Women Grow Business Twitter Chat

Our next free Twitter chat is August 12th. We are honored to have Ann Handley, The Chief Content Officer at MarketingProfs, come to talk to us about Content Marketing! We’ll be updating you at least once more before the August chat with more information about Ann. In the meantime, if you have questions for her, just reply below with your question.

Every second Monday of the month at noon, the Women Grow Business community has a Twitter chat. We usually have a guest expert, announced on our blog prior to the chat. You can subscribe to our blog, our Facebook or Twitter page, to get the announcement of our next guest delivered to you.

To be reminded when the chat is approaching, sign up for free on our Eventbrite page.
