      If your business targets Millennial customers, social media may be even more important than you previously thought, not only in making the sale but also in influencing shoppers’ friends and families to buy. A survey for The Webby Awards conducted by Harris Interactive reports that more than two-thirds (68 percent) of social media users aged 18 to 34 say they’re at least somewhat likely to buy a product or service after seeing a friend’s post about it.           Are you doing all you can to attract, engage with and market to customers on Facebook? If you’re like most businesses, the answer is no, reports the ExactTarget Audience Growth Survey conducted late last year. The study found that simple Facebook marketing tactics such as putting a Facebook button on a company’s website or marketing materials didn’t work nearly as well as tactics that involve customer service and support. Overall, businesses in the survey didn’t consider providing customer service and support to be one of their top Facebook goals, but those that did provide service and support found it really helped their marketing.
