Keep Small Business Saturday Going All Weekend #SmallBizSat

Today marks the day of celebration known as Small Business Saturday, and our sponsor, Web.com joined American Express as a partner in the celebration.  But the fun doesn’t have to end tonight.

Let’s Turn Small Business Saturday Into Small Business Weekend

I’m willing to bet that your favorite small local business is open tomorrow at some point. You could go back and pick up a treat for yourself, or get that one holiday gift you’ve forgotten, at your favorite local store.

Continuing to patronize small businesses, helps the economy,  and when you shop locally, it can affect you directly.

And hey, if they aren’t open on Sundays, that doesn’t have to stop your fun…

Tell Everyone About Your Favorite Small Business

Whether you write a review on FourSquare, post to your Facebook wall or use the #SmallBizSat hashtag on Twitter, talking about your favorite small business can help as much as spending money with them yourself, especially if it means a new customer for them.

And while you’re at it, you know what else you could do?

If They’re Online? Order on Cyber Monday too

Hey, if you’re going to spend your holiday money somewhere, why not  support a small business if you can? Check to see if your favorite store has a website.

Or if they ship a physical product, whether it’s available through a larger supplier, shipper or distributor. Some small businesses have products available on Amazon before they even have online stores.

Why is it so important to support your local small business?
