If your computer’s running agonizingly slow, then it’s probably time to upgrade your technology, right? Not necessarily. If the computer is less than five years old, have an IT expert do a performance check and see if the issues you’re having are fixable. It’s important to always install the latest security patches and service packs so your software is performing effectively; the same goes for your smartphone and tablet computers. If you’re glued to your smartphone and/or laptop it makes sense to upgrade more often for faster speed, more memory and lighter weights. It’s doubtful you’ll need to upgrade your tablet as often, since the technology doesn’t change as frequently. On the other hand, technology changes and improves very quickly, and if you’re finding yourself hindered by some aspect of your technology, when it comes to the survival of your business, spending a little more to upgrade technology is well worth the cost.
