Timing is everything, especially when it comes to social media. You could have the best tweet or post ever, but if your customer doesn’t happen to be checking social media at that time, they may very likely miss it. To reach your customers on social media, you need to find out when they’re checking their feeds. Of course there isn’t one perfect strategy for all businesses. Is your customer a 9-to-5 worker with a commute? Then before or after work are probably good times to post. If you’re not sure, post at a variety of different times, use your analytics to assess results, and see what gets the most shares. As far as the best days to post, new research shows that posts on Fridays get the most engagement on Facebook while weekends get the least. More research shows weekend days are the best time to post on Twitter, while Tuesday and Thursdays are good days to post on LinkedIn. Pinterest users go online on Saturday mornings. As for Google Plus? The jury is still out.
