Small Business Tip of the Day: Beware Obamacare Scams
Fraud

Health insurance exchanges went live in many markets yesterday, and scam artists are already trying to take advantage of the confusion surrounding Obamacare. Scammers are trying to fool Americans looking for health insurance information by setting up fake websites that look like the new health insurance exchanges. So far, the sites are targeting primarily individuals, but more scams targeting businesses are expected to crop up. Other Obamacare scams to watch out for include emails and phone calls from people professing to be government officials offering to help avoid tax penalties by signing you for federally approved plans. To find out about your state’s health exchanges, check the Kaiser Family State Data website.
