Small Business Tip of the Day: Corporate Gift-Giving Trends

As the holidays approach, you should already be thinking about what kind of gifts you plan to give important vendors and clients. Keep in mind that you can only deduct $25 per corporate gift on your company’s taxes. If you’re still deciding what to give, keep in mind that everyone loves food and beverages. Look for companies that will ship the gifts for you so you don’t have to spend time wrapping and mailing them yourself. For special clients, include a handwritten note to personalize the gift. Thinking green is still “in” when it comes to business gifts, so gifting something made from recycled products or where a portion of the gift’s purchase price goes to charity is always nice. If you want to make sure the client gets something to remember you by, make it a practical premium with your company name on it.
