Not surprisingly, there was a 142 percent increase in mobile advertising budgets between 2011 and 2013 among brand marketers surveyed by the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB). The survey also reports that nearly three-quarters (74 percent) expect their companies’ mobile advertising budgets to increase even more in the next two years. If you have yet to make mobile ads a top priority, now is a great time to take advantage of mobile technology available to small businesses. Keys to keep in mind: Consumers are more likely to opt in to your mobile marketing efforts if you make it worth their while, such as by offering coupons, reviews, specials and event announcements.
