Even with all the evidence that consumers are increasingly doing their shopping on mobile devices, 82 percent of commerce merchants still don’t track whether purchases on their websites are made from a mobile device or a PC, according to a new report from TransFirst and ControlScan. What’s even worse, 49 percent of ecommerce merchants said their websites are not currently optimized for mobile devices. That means businesses are missing out on a lot of sales opportunities: A recent Google Survey showed 72 percent of consumers want mobile-friendly sites.
