Web.com Small Business Tip of the Day: Hire Learning

Have you been meaning to hire extra help for your small business this summer? You’ll be interested to know that U.S. staffing companies employed an average of 2.86 million temporary and contract workers per day in the first quarter of 2013, up 2.9 percent from the same period last year, according to the newest data from the American Staffing Association. That’s good news because temporary and contract employment is a good indicator of where the economy is heading, but bad news because it means you might not have as easy a time finding the quality of workers you need if you wait too long to hire. Temporary and contract staffing sales also totaled $25.88 billion in the first quarter of 2013, 3.4 percent higher than in the same period in 2012.
