Moms with young kids can tell you firsthand: It takes a village to raise their children, and luckily with social media they can interact with their village simply by turning on their mobile device. According to a recent Experian Marketing Services analysis, moms with young kids (under age 5) are two times more likely to visit and participate on social media websites, more likely to shop using mobile devices and more open to digitally engage with brands than other segments of moms. When reaching out to these moms, remember they are highly active and digitally sophisticated. Make it easy for them to share their purchases, post comments and reviews. Are you on the fence about digital advertising or applying mobile marketing to your strategy? These moms respond well to advertisements they see online and will check their mobile device for coupons or announcements before making a purchase. Make these changes as soon you can. The analysis also found as their children grow older, moms are less likely to be socially active online.
