Where will you open your new business? Whether you’re just starting out or expanding into a new location, information on the business climate and demographics of a new market is pretty easy to research. But knowing whether the location is friendly to women business owners is another matter. NerdWallet has released their data on the best cities for women entrepreneurs by examining: 1. business-friendliness, based on the number of businesses per 100 residents; 2. the presence of female entrepreneurs, based on the percentage of women-owned businesses; 3. The earnings of female workers to assess the earning potential women have in each city; 4. education level, because studies have shown that better education correlates with higher rates of entrepreneurship and 5. economic state in order to assess whether a city has an economy suitable for entrepreneurial success. The top three cities for women business owners: Washington, DC, San Francisco and Seattle.
